Becomes The Recognized Expert In Their Industry Within
6 Months
Client Profile:
A twelve-year-old consulting firm was looking for innovative
ways to expand their client base from local to regional.
Opportunity: The
president of the firm was well-known on a local level.
He was on the board of directors of several companies,
and was president of his local industry association.
He had also conducted workshops at past national conventions.
Strategy:
By leveraging his local celebrity status and existing
connections, we were able to publish a series of articles
in his industry’s trade magazines. We then took
the reprints of the articles and approached the regional
association and pitched them the idea of his firm becoming
the Resident Expert for their association.
We provided the association members with
free limited access to his consultants. The members
could call in every Friday, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM,
and discuss any pressing problem that they had. The
only restriction was that the free phone consultations
could last no longer than 15 minutes. The free consultations
were also used as material for the monthly column written
by the president of the company.
Result:
The client became the largest consulting firm in the
region within a three-year period.
